I was born in Colorado and also lived in Nevada before moving to Ohio. I completed my B.S. at John Carroll University in Cleveland double majoring in Biochemistry and Cell and Molecular Biology. While at JCU, I worked as a research student in the Cell Biology Department at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute helping in the study of the protective role of ceruloplasmin in colitis. This experience helped solidify my professional goal of continuing research and studying biomedical science. My research interests are broad at this time, but I hope to study potential targets for novel therapeutics.
