FacultyFaculty in the School of Biomedical Sciences are renowned science educators and research scientists. Their investigations contribute substantively to the body of new knowledge that is being created in response to our most challenging health issues. Their individual discoveries and collaborations with other research scientists put them at the forefront of translating basic science into clinical applications that result in better care and treatment for individuals and communities.

Our scientists focus on many diseases that have devastating or debilitating outcomes, such as cancer, heart and lung disease, stroke, diabetes, HIV-AIDS and other infectious diseases, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, schizophrenia, spinal cord injury and depression.

OSU Medical Center physicians and scientists hold more than $133 million in external research funding directed to finding causes, prevention and treatments for disease and injury.
